A legacy of quality cabinetry and community since 1986
Builders Cabinet was founded in the spring of 1986 by Charles Benner, a Metra Rail engineer, and his childhood friend John Anderson, a Chicago firefighter. United by a shared vision to create quality cabinetry, serve Chicago families, and build a lasting business, they worked tirelessly through late nights to grow the company.
Over time, their children joined the team, gaining valuable experience while working their way through college on the shop floor. Eventually, Charles bought out his partner and relocated the business to Chicago, setting the stage for its next chapter.
By 1996, with the company expanding, Charles enlisted his son Brian to join the team. Together, this father-son duo dedicated themselves to helping Chicago families design and build their dream kitchens and bathrooms.
Today, Builders Cabinet proudly sells the locally manufactured Orchard Hill Cabinetry line, offering premium kitchen and bath cabinetry made right here in Chicago. Alongside Orchard Hill, we also provide a selection of trusted cabinet brands to suit a wide range of styles and budgets.
